Reaper playhead would not advance, at all. I could easily get Reaper to run with the Scarlett using the Win7 drivers, NOT ASIO. NEVER a problem, and all the time with the Scarlett 2i2. Been running Reaper 5.40 since it came out, and Reaper for about one year. Hi guysngals, I had the same problem this morning.

The 6i6 continues to function as expected with all other software (Windows, Audacity).ĭoes anyone have any idea what might be causing this, and how I can fix it? I've hooked up my monitors to the UX2 for the time being, so I'm not dead in the water, but the 6i6 is the better processor and I need to get it back up and running. I have already uninstalled all Scarlett drivers, uninstalled Scarlett Mix Control, disconnected the device, restarted, re-installed everything, reconnected the device, and tried Reaper again. The problem appears isolated to Reaper, and isolated to using the 6i6 as the ASIO device in Reaper. I can also use the 6i6 as a recording/playback device with Audacity and not experience any problems.

The problem only occurs when "Audio System" is ASIO, and the 6i6 is the device.Ĭlosing Reaper, I can playback my normal Windows 7 audio (Media Player, etc) through the 6i6 just fine. Audio outputs normally, playhead moves normally. If I select any other "Audio System" besides ASIO in the audio device settings (WaveOut, Direct Sound, etc.), I can then select the 6i6 as the output device and get normal playback through the 6i6. It's not like it freezes I can pause/stop without any computer hesitation or problem. Additionally, when the 6i6 is selected and I start playback, the "PLAY" icon lights up, but the playhead doesn't advance. When I switch the device to the UX2, I get playback through the UX2 speakers without any problem. I checked my audio device settings and Scarlett MixControl settings and they have not changed. The UX2 handles guitar recording, the 6i6 is the main interface that drives my monitors.Īnyway, when I open Reaper, I get no playback through the 6i6. I have two audio devices: a Line 6 Toneport UX2, and a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6. Using a Windows 7 PC, current version of Reaper. Turned off the computer, went out, came back, turned it on, and now things aren't right. I literally used Reaper this morning with no problems. Let me start by saying that I've had a stable audio production setup for several years. Once I uninstalled Avast, everything works great again! Turns out, Avast (and AVG) antivirus decided the Focusrite was no good.
Looked everywhere for information and ran out of options.EDIT: The problem below has now been FIXED. Closed background apps potentially using WASAPI like Skype. Troubleshoot sound problems, rebooted windows and Fl Studio ASIO worked only during this attempt but the same error returned after a rendering. The option gets automatically turned back on by itself.)

I disable them in services.msc but Windows always end up forcing me to update when I want to turn off or reboot my laptop.
Uninstalled latest Windows updates (because 95% of my unexpected issues come right after Windows Updates. Uninstalled most recent plugins potentially using this driver in Standalone mode (Currently having 16 bit, 48 000 Hz and 24 bit, 48 000 Hz only. Changed the default format of sample rate and bit depth to be used when running in shared mode to match my DAW. Showed disabled and disconnected devices in Sound Control Panel Opened, installed updates with Admin Rights Updated every audio driver in Device Manager

My RME Babyface pro (driver_usb_win_1168) & Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 1st Gen (Focusrite_USB_4.62.1.504) latest drivers.įl Studio 20.5 (issue randomly started in previous version a week ago) Here is what I've tried to fix the issue : Fl Studio Asio driver is the device I use when I don't have my audio interface with me because it runs flawlessly. Fl studio is the only software opened when the message appears. This message does not appear when I change my Input/Output Device to ASIO4ALL v2, when I plug an external audio interface and choose Fl Studio ASIO instead of it's own ASIO driver.
"Couldn't initialize rendering in shared mode! Code:-2004287480" But now it's been over a week that this error appears everytime I open Fl Studio 20.5. 1809 on a 2017 Asus ROG Strix laptop and have been using this Fl Studio Asio Driver v1.03 since it came out and never had an issue before.
